What Hormone Hero collects, why, and how to opt out. Short version: we do not ask you for health information, we do not sell data, and you can turn off ad personalization.

We do not want your health data
We do not ask you to create an account, enter symptoms, or tell us anything about your health in order to read this site. Any tool or calculator we publish runs in your browser, and the values you enter are not transmitted to us or stored on our servers.
If you voluntarily include health details in an email or contact form, we use them only to answer you.
What is collected automatically
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read and how they arrive. This collects things like pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and referring site. We use it in aggregate to decide what to write and what to fix. We have IP anonymization enabled.
Advertising
When advertising is enabled, ads are served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google at Google Ads Settings, and from many other vendors at aboutads.info or Your Online Choices in the EU.
We do not allow advertisers to target ads based on health conditions inferred from the specific pages you read on this site. Google’s own policies restrict personalized advertising based on sensitive health categories.
Server logs
Our host records standard access logs, including IP address, timestamp, requested URL, and user agent, retained for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies
The site itself sets no tracking cookies. Cookies present come from Google Analytics and, when enabled, Google AdSense. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
What we never do
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not build advertising profiles of individual readers ourselves.
- We do not share your email address with advertisers.
- We do not run email marketing you did not ask for.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. California residents have rights under the CCPA and CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. Residents of the EU and UK have rights under the GDPR.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@hormonehero.com. We will not discriminate against you for making a request.
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals sent by your browser as an opt-out of sale and sharing.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention and security
Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Contact emails are retained as long as needed to resolve your query and for a reasonable period afterward. The site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International transfers
We operate in the United States. If you access this site from elsewhere, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S., where data protection law may differ from your own.
Third-party links
We link to external sources such as PubMed, journals, and government sites so you can verify our claims. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above and note the change on this page.
