This site does not provide medical advice

Hormone Hero publishes general educational information about hormone health. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for care from a licensed clinician who knows your history.

We are a publisher, not a healthcare provider. No doctor-patient, clinician-patient, or professional relationship of any kind is created by reading this site, contacting us, or using any tool or calculator we publish.

What we cannot know about you

Everything we publish describes populations, averages, and study findings. It cannot account for your individual medical history, current diagnoses, medications and interactions, allergies, family history, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, kidney or liver function, cancer history, cardiovascular risk, age, or lab results.

Those factors routinely change the right answer. A therapy that is well supported for most people can be actively dangerous for a specific person. Only a clinician with access to your full picture can tell the difference.

Always talk to a clinician first

Consult a qualified healthcare professional before you start, stop, or change any medication, hormone therapy, peptide, supplement, or treatment plan. Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you read on this site.

Stopping a prescribed medication abruptly can be harmful. Do not do it based on an article.

Medical emergencies

If you think you may be having a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number immediately, or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not rely on this site.

If you are in crisis or having thoughts of harming yourself, call or text 988 in the United States to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

On accuracy and currency

We work hard to be accurate and we cite our sources so you can check us. We cannot guarantee that every page is complete, current, or free of error. Medical understanding changes, and an article that was accurate when written may be out of date by the time you read it. Every article displays the date it was last updated.

Our evidence grades describe the strength of the published research behind a topic. They are not safety ratings and they are not recommendations. Strong evidence that something works for a population is not evidence that it is right, or safe, for you.

Regulatory status

Some substances we write about, including certain hormones, compounded preparations, and peptides, are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the uses commonly discussed online, or are not approved at all. Where that is the case we say so. Nothing on this site should be read as encouraging the use of an unapproved product, and we do not publish dosing, sourcing, or administration guidance for any substance.

Third-party content and links

We link to external sources so you can verify our claims. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. A link is not an endorsement.

Advertisements shown on this site are selected by third-party ad networks, not by us. An advertisement is not an endorsement or a recommendation. See how we make money.

No warranty and limitation of liability

This site and everything on it is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hormone Hero, Holland Ventures LLC, and their officers, employees, and contributors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or its content.
