Hormone Hero exists because hormone health is one of the worst-served topics on the internet, and the reason is structural: most of the information is published by people who sell the treatment.
The problem we are trying to solve
Search almost any hormone question and you get three kinds of result. Clinic pages, which exist to book appointments. Supplement marketing, dressed as education. And large health portals that hedge every sentence so thoroughly you finish the article knowing nothing you did not already know.
Meanwhile the actual research is sitting in journals, written in a register almost nobody outside medicine can read, frequently contradicting the confident claims circulating on podcasts and in comment sections.
What is missing is a plain reference: what does the evidence actually show, how good is that evidence, and what is still genuinely unknown.
What we do
We read the primary literature and summarize it in ordinary English. Then we do the part almost nobody does: we tell you how much to trust it.
Every article carries an evidence grade derived from the study designs behind it. Every substantive claim is cited, every source is tagged with what kind of study it was, and every citation links out so you can check that we described it accurately.
A lot of our articles conclude that the evidence is limited, or that nobody knows yet. That is not us hedging. It is an accurate description of a field where enthusiasm has consistently outrun the data.
What we are not
- We are not a clinic. We do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe, and reading this site does not create any clinical relationship. See our medical disclaimer.
- We do not sell treatment. No supplements, no lab panels, no medications, no programs, no consultations.
- We do not refer you anywhere for money. We run no provider directory and take no referral fees.
- We are not yet clinically reviewed. Our articles are written and fact-checked by our editorial team against the cited sources, but they are not currently reviewed by a licensed clinician. We say so on every article. We are working to change it, and when we do, reviewers will be named with their credentials.
Who we are
Hormone Hero is owned and operated by Holland Ventures LLC. The owner has other business interests in the hormone health sector, which is a real potential conflict of interest, so we disclose it plainly and we build against it: this site does not link to, promote, or accept advertising from any affiliated business, and those businesses have no input into our editorial work. The full disclosure is on our how we make money page.
What we cover
Menopause and perimenopause, testosterone in both men and women, thyroid function, metabolic hormones and GLP-1 medications, cortisol and stress physiology, hormone testing and lab interpretation, and the regulatory and research status of commonly discussed peptides.
We also publish the practical material that almost no one else will: what testing and treatment actually cost, how access differs by state, and who a given therapy is wrong for.
How to hold us accountable
Read our editorial policy. If you find an error, tell us, and we will correct it in the open. If you think an evidence grade is wrong, argue with us. Both of those are how this gets better.
